The Truth About Bleach: Why it fails to eliminate mould effectively

Bleach may remove visible mould staining, but it does not eliminate embedded fungal growth within porous materials such as plasterboard, paint or timber. The underlying hyphae and spores can remain active beneath the surface. Under Awaab’s Law and current housing compliance standards, cosmetic cleaning is not sufficient. Effective mould remediation requires investigation of the damp source, application of an appropriate biocidal treatment, and documented evidence of action taken. This video explains the difference between surface cleaning and compliant mould treatment.
